According to sources, a total of 6,233 overseas Pakistanis participated in the by-elections accounting to 83.5% out of which 5,117 votes were for National Assembly constituencies and 1,116 votes were for Provincial Assembly constituencies.

The overseas Pakistanis voted through registering themselves on the IVote website which was said to have been under numerous cyber attacks however the issues were resolved timely.

According to reports, the ECP had spend Rs 95 million to arrange the voting for overseas and each overseas vote was equivalent to Rs. 15,241 to the national exchequer.  

The final statistics of the overseas voters will be released by ECP.
