PML-N leader and former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal shared his reservations against the right to vote given to overseas Pakistanis.

Previously, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had announced that overseas Pakistanis will be able to cast their votes in the upcoming by-elections to be held on 14th October, 2018.   Summary of the Internet Voting Task Force (IVTF) which provides details on the e-voting platform known as “I-vote” had also been presented. Through the I-vote system, the votes of overseas Pakistanis will be including in the final vote count.

However, according to Ahsan Iqbal, the system is flawed and can be hacked easily. He further added that the IT experts themselves are not sure of the system and the data of Pakistanis residing in the country and those overseas can be hacked.
